term3 week 6

It was a thursday morning and we have lesson on the first period. In fact, before the lesson, Mr Chua told us about the first reahersal on the drama that we will be acting out. I play the part of the director. After that, Mr Chua told us to read about the story Mighty Mandarin together as in a group. It was such an interesting story as there were some humours in the story. It was the lesson that we will be going through. Mr Chua also gave us a worksheet about it as a homework to do. So, the lesson ends and we will continue it until next week.

term 3 week 6

On monday's lesson, we continued about Elvis Presley. We studied about the last scene, which is only scene three. Elvis said that he needed the drugs to cool himself down. But there was not much to be studied about. I totally forgot what the lesson is about because i have been rehearsing for the NDP parade in school.

term 3 week 5

On the last thursday's lesson, we learnt about Elvis's play. We read about scene 3. We learnt a lot of new things in that lesson. Such as the word Cape Canaveral. Which means, a place where space shuttle were being sent off. We also learnt that Elvis was really addicted to drugs. He needed the drugs to take the pain away. He also misses his mama. He keeps thnking about his mother everytime. He also misses his mother's funeral and he did not see his mother for the last time. As he was at the US army having a performance. He had to do it that way and he had no choice.

term 3 week 5

The term continues as we were preparing for the drama. On the last lesson, we studied about the Elvis Presley drama. The drama was so complicated that we have to find out the meaning and the reason for the drama lines. We studied about scene 2. It is about younger Presley acting with her mother. Younger was looking at his Cadillac outside the window. He also does not treasure the things he love such as the way he treat Redhead. He also said that he would buy anything for his mother. As there is no other cadillac in the town.

term 3

As the school reopens in term 3, the lesson for literature will be quite difficult as we have to act. The drama will be MOV or R&J. We will have to act out almost all the scenes and remember the scripts. Mr Chua have given us our groupings and i am in the Alpha group. We have all disscussed about the characters and the main jobs each member has to do. I will be the director. the drama that will be acted out by us is the Merchant of Venice.

Literature

Last lesson, we were given a revision paper as if it was a mini test. The test was about Romeo & Juliet. It was a quite easy paper as i can do all the questions by myself. On last friday's lesson, we were also given a test on Merchant of Venice. Although I don't remember the theme, i managed to do it on my own.

Term2

It is the coming of the mid-year exams. The literature lesson had been quite fun. The last week's lesson, we had to act out the Macbeth witch scene. We were given a scene and we have to act out as a performance in class. My role was the witch1. The acting was included in the mid-year exams. My group members, Khairul and Shao Wen, had performed together in class. As it was included in the mid-year exams, we put in a great effort on the acting.

Term 2

This is the beginning of the term 2. The lesson for the past two weeks until the test were drama classes. We have learnt so many about the drama class. I have learnt many about drama and speeches. Especially on the skills on how to move and speak. The lesson was somehow quite funand interesting. The drama that we will be acting is on Macbeth. The scene is about three witches that can see the future. They wanted to tell Macbeth about him becoming the king. It was an interesting story, though.

week9

It was the second last week of the school term. I have learnt many things about literature. We were taught about the story of The Merchant of Venice and Romeo And Juliet. The story was interesting and fun. The theme for Romeo And Juliet was love. It taught me of our loved ones and that we must not leave our loved ones for the one we like because the ones we like will leave us for the ones they love. So, it had taught me a lot about this story.

week8

On the same week, the second lesson was about going through the worksheet on the what is mercy theme. We went through all the religion god of example of their mercy towards the religion. I have learnt a lot about the god's mercy. I have also learnt not to be a racist as that will show the character of the person.

week8

Last week, we learnt about the character traits of the main character of the story of Romeo and Juliet. We also watched a video of the scene acted out by the characters. Mr Chua divided us into four groups. Every group will be given a character. The character that was given to my group was Lord Capulet. Lord Capulet was hospitable, honourable and sociable. That is what i can think of. At the end of the lesson, Mr Chua gave us a homework on doing a mind map. It is due on Monday.

week 7

This week, on friday, we were revising through the worksheet on racism. I also have learnt a lot from the lesson. Mr Chua has also given us a worksheet on an article titled "Buddhist, Taoist leaders accept pastor's apology". The article was about a man, pastor, flocked about buddhism and taoism. He apologised to them in an old fashion way, i think as it says here that in person, over a pot of hot tea and with a firm handshake. The theme for the lesson will be about revenge and forgiveness. I have learnt that we should not blame others if they insulted your religion. Instead, we should forgive them and give them some light punishments in order to not be a racist.

week 6

The lesson on week 6 was not held as there was a Chinese New Year concert. The concert was great although it was just a short one. The concert included a lion dance, chinese dance and the chinese orchestra performance. There was also a speech given by the MP, Ms Allen Lee. As that week was a mother tounge week, there was also a performance dy the malay dance group. After that, we were dismissed. It was a long holiday for us after that. I hope that the lesson of literature will continue as usual, because we are late in lesson.

week 5

Last week, the lesson of literature was about friendship. We learnt the lesson outside the classroom due to the misbehaving of our class. Mr Chua punished us and taught us in the hot sun. It was a bit hot and humid. The lesson was also teaching us about how friendship valued. The character studied out was about Antonio and Bassanio. They were good friends. Bassanio asked Antonio to lend some money from Shylock. Antonio was willing to help by lending three thosand ducats from Shylock. Thus, when Bassanio got the money, Antonio was willing to give 1 pound of flesh to shylock after failing to pay him. I learned that friendship values and sacrifice ourself for our friend. Friendship can also be as good as the friendship between Singapore and other countries.

week4

Hi! This is about the lesson about week4, I think so. Mr Chua did not come to school. So, we had a relief teacher teaching us literature, too. The lesson was quite fun. She told us about the story of Macbeth. The story is about three witches wich is very some kind of evil. They can foresee the future and spell casts. One day, they saw that a great general King of Scotland, Macbeh, is on his way home after a battle when three witches appear before him. Frightened, he and his soldier, Banquo, heard that Macbeth will one day become king and so as Banquo's children. The witches vanish, leaving the two men with fear and wonder. Macbeth becomes obsessed of being King and starts doing anything that will hellp him achieve what he wants. Murder follows murder as he loses his sense of righteouness and becomes full of anger, panic and hate. So, that was half of the story. I have learnt that we should not be greedy on what we want. We have to do something that we want to in order to achieve something. Thank you.

week3

This is the third week that i have learnt the subject Literature with a new teacher. I also have learnt many things such as the qualities of the mercy from the story of The Merchant of Venice. I have also laernt about doing the character traits of The Merchant of Venice. We did not study much, I think so, because i forgot what we did during the next lesson. Every lesson, mr Chua will only teach us one thing. It is easier for me to catch up with the lessons so much. But I did not like literature so much because i think it is a such a boring lesson. So, that's all for my reflections for now. Thank you.

week 2

It has been a great lesson for literature this year. I have learnt about cinquain and have read about William Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice. It was a great story. The Merchant is named Antonio. He had a ship which sank. A Jewish person called Shylock, wanted 1 pound of flesh of Antonio after his ship sunk. They were brought to court. At last, Shylock did not get his 1 pound of flesh but walks away in shame. I also have learnt alot about this story. which is not to be greedy. Thankyou.

Hey. This will be my first blog. Let me get straight to the point. My literature teacher taught us about a poem called cinquain. It is some kind of a poem. I should have understood cause this year`s new teacher is better than last year`s teacher. So, I hope that the lesson will be fun as well as the other subjects. Thank you.
